THE HEAT ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT. * SHORT TERM TRENDS...TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM 102 TO 108 THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON THEN SLOWLY COOL INTO THE 90S AFTER SUNSET. * TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...VERY HOT TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE INTO FRIDAY ACROSS EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND FAR SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI. * TEMPERATURE...AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM 102 TO 108 DEGREES WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS ONLY FALLING TO NEAR 80. * IMPACTS...THIS EXTENDED PERIOD OF HOT WEATHER WILL LIKELY INCREASE THE RISK OF HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES.
