Challenger Brad Lager has raised more money than Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder during August, but not by much.
Documents filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission show Lager has raised $84,000 during the last six days with $75,000 of that coming from two sources- $50,000 today from Joplin businessman David Humphreys, who has contributed $550,000 to the Lager campaign (his family has contributed $750,000), and $25,000 from Herzog Construction of St. Joseph.
Kinder has raised $78,500, including $30,000 from Sam Fox, St. Louis, and $10,000 today from Fred Weber.
