The Missouri Democratic Party congratulates U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill, Governor Jeremiah “Jay” Nixon, Treasurer Clint Zweifel, Attorney General Chris Koster, Lieutenant Governor candidate Susan Montee, Secretary of State candidate Jason Kander and candidates across the state for their strong showing in today’s Primary Election.
Missouri Democratic Party Chairman Mike Sanders released the following statement tonight after polls closed in the Democratic Primary Election:
“I want to congratulate all of the Democratic nominees across the state of Missouri. Heading into the General Election, Missourians have a clear choice in this election to elect experienced Party leaders who are fighting for Missouri’s hard working families. I would also like to thank the challengers who were unsuccessful in their efforts. Contested primaries are a part of the democratic process and only strengthen our party.
Today, Missouri Democrats came together to show support for candidates that provide a strong contrast to the Republican ticket. During such an important time, I am confident in our candidates as we move forward in a strong position to win up and down the ticket in November.”
