Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies (GPS) today launched a new TV issue ad in Missouri which urges Claire McCaskill to stop wasteful government spending and cut the debt. The spot, supported by a $770,000 buy, are part of the group’s ongoing effort to encourage support for the New Majority Agenda.
The new ad starts today and will run for one week on broadcast and cable networks in Missouri.
“With the looming fiscal cliff, it’s time for Claire McCaskill to take action and cut the debt so we can move our economy forward,” said Nate Hodson, Crossroads GPS Director of State and Regional Media Relations. “We intend to keep urging Claire McCaskill to push for the practical solutions in the New Majority Agenda.”
The ad encourages viewers to support the “New Majority Agenda,” which includes a plank on cutting the national debt. For more information about the six major policy initiatives detailed in the plan, visit www.newmajorityagenda.org.
Claire McCaskill has voted seven times to raise the debt limit, accumulating in $6.1 trillion in new debt from government spending. Despite her vote for out-of-control government spending, like in the wasteful stimulus package, more than 23,000 fewer Missourians have jobs.
