After spending $2,629.60, most of it from the Joplin Progress Committee, in an unsuccessful effort to get re-elected, Joplin R-8 Board of Education President Jeff Flowers kept his campaign promise and gave the $105.60 he had left over to the Joplin Schools Foundation.
In documents filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission today closing his campaign committee, Flowers reported receiving only $100 since the last reporting period, when he had only $5.60 left in his account.
In a mailing when he opened his campaign Flowers, who was first elected to the board in 2008, said he would give any money he had left over to the Joplin Schools Foundation, which was an apparent violation of a law designed to prevent bribery by offering something of value for votes or for contributions.
A Missouri Ethics Commission spokeswoman told the Turner Report it is not illegal to give the money to a charitable organization, but you cannot promise to do it before the election.

You seem to have a problem with Mr. Flowers just because you got fired and he was the President, and they stopped you from spreading your sexual content books to the students, maybe now you can stop worrying what he eats for breakfast and move on to the next victim of your twisted mind.
