Greene County reports two COVID-19 deaths, 48 new cases

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is heartbroken to announce the deaths of two Greene County residents from COVID-19.

Our community lost a woman in her 90s who had underlying health conditions and a man in his 50s who had underlying health conditions.

The Health Department extends our condolences to loved ones at this tragic time.

These are the fourth and fifth deaths from COVID-19 in August. We have had a total of 16 deaths from COVID-19 in Greene County.

On Saturday and Sunday, we added 56 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Greene County residents to our dashboard.

Today we added 48 confirmed cases. Our new total is 1,584 confirmed cases.
