City of Joplin approaching 1,000 COVID-19 cases, 23 added today

 

Twenty-three COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Joplin over a 24-hour period, according to statistics posted today on the city's COVID-19 dashboard.

Joplin's total stands at 998, with the number of active cases increasing from 195 to 197 over the reporting period and the number of people who are hospitalized going from seven to nine.

The number of coronavirus patients at Freeman and Mercy hospitals remained at 45.
