Liberty electric bills to increase beginning in June

(From Missouri Public Service Commission)

Electric customers of The Empire District Electric Company d/b/a Liberty (Liberty) will see a change in the fuel adjustment clause (FAC) charge on their electric bills effective June 1, 2022.

Liberty made two filings. In its first filing (Case No. ER-2022-0274), Liberty sought to adjust the FAC charge to reflect actual energy costs incurred by the Company, less an adjustment pertaining to “extraordinary costs” associated with the February 2021 cold weather event (Winter Storm Uri) during the six-month period September 2021 through February 2022. The second filing was Liberty’s true-up filing (Case No. EO-2022-0275).

For a residential customer using 1,000 kWh (1,000 kilowatt-hours) of electricity a month, the FAC will increase by approximately $5.85 a month.

Liberty serves approximately 155,400 electric customers in the Missouri counties of Barry, Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Hickory, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Polk, St. Clair, Stone and Taney.

I thought those government/taxpayer subsidized windmills was going to cure everything, Only thing they did was screw up my part of the country, I’m glad me and a few of my neighbors were not foolish enough to get on board, but I guess we don’t need the money as bad as the sell outs did. Go -UCK yourself Liberty utilities Foreign owned libs……

When your the only supplier in town it's hard not to act like it. It's not like they have a new and improved product.
