Parson: State will carry out the execution of Chris Collings

(From Gov. Mike Parson)

Today, Governor Mike Parson confirmed that the State of Missouri will carry out the sentence of Chis Collings on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, as ordered by the Supreme Court of Missouri.

"Mr. Collings has received every protection afforded by the Missouri and United States Constitutions, and Mr. Collings' conviction and sentence remain for his horrendous and callous crime," Governor Parson said. "The State of Missouri will carry out Mr. Collings’ sentence according to the Court's order and deliver justice."

Collings abducted nine-year-old Rowan Ford, raped her, and strangled her with chicken wire before throwing her into a sinkhole. Collings confessed to this abhorrent offense multiple times to numerous law enforcement officers, and evidence matching his statements was found at his residence.

There is not and never has been any doubt about Collings’ involvement or the heinousness of his crimes. Nor has Collings’ conviction or sentence ever been reversed on appeal.

Collings’ case has been reviewed in the state trial court, Missouri Supreme Court, federal district court, Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and United States Supreme Court.

Chis Collings, is Guilty, he has been allowed to Live 17-Years Longer than his Victim - Rowan Ford- Who he abducted, raped, and strangled with chicken wire before throwing her into a sinkhole. Justice will Finally be Served for Rowan; may her Family and Friends find comfort as this Monster is put to Death.

This is why we Have and Need the Death Penalty - so these Criminals are Permanently Removed from our Society and our Planet - I Hope he Rots in HELL...

I disagree with 500, the death penalty will never be a deterrent and is a blessing to no longer suffer the isolation, rapes, and slow mental deterioration of "living" in a concrete cell for 50 years. Conservatives claim to be prolife but I guess they get to be selective if it fits their masters narrative.

To 5:55 , Few would see this lump of carbon as human. Why should the taxpayers of Missouri be saddled with his care for the next 40+ years? Care that includes better medical, dental and physical activity than what the average citizen of this state receives. I doubt this thing, considering it's size, would be much of a rape victim. He probably will victimize many, including rape. If you can do what he did to a 9 year old girl, he'll have no problem finding his fun behind bars. That and all the free tats and weight lifting he can handle. NO THANK YOU, NEEDLE NOW!

5:55PM, Why should the Taxpayers support a Convicted Killer for another 50-Years - That Type of Thinking is just Plain Stupid. Try Thinking about it for ONCE IN YOUR LIFE.

A lot of Homeless People do small Petty Crimes just to get Housed in Prison during the Winter - Free Food, Free Housing, Free Clothing, Free Medical, Free Mental Counseling, Free Education, Free Training, Free Legal Help, Free TV, Free Library, Free Recreation, Free Paid Jobs - Some Prisoners are Living Better in Jail than People on the Streets. They are Not Suffering - Where did you ever get that Ridiculous IDEA???

Annual cost - -
Death row prisoners cost between $60,000 and $70,000 per year to support, which is more than the average federal prisoner, who costs around $37,500 per year. According to recent data, the average cost to house a prisoner in the United States is around $35,000 per year.

Again, Stop with Your Liberal Thought Process - Prisons are Not Terrible - They are Probably Living a Better Life than You - - - The only difference is they have a FENCE around them - Everything Else is FREE...
