The only thing wrong with a Joplin man getting married July 19 was that he already had a wife, according to a probable cause statement filed Wednesday in Newton County Circuit Court.
Joshua William Ray Taft (DOB 1981) married his first wife December 14, 2013 in Kansas.
The Newton County Prosecuting Attorney's Office filed a misdemeanor bigamy charge against Taft.
From the probable cause statement:
Mr. Taft advised they were divorced while he was in prison. This Deputy did not find a court case that shows the divorce.

Had 2 wives at 2 different times in my life (legally). Now zero wives is fine with me!
You had me when Mr. Taft advised: "They were divorced while he was in prison." This Deputy did not find a court case that shows the divorce. What does that tell you -
