Carthage High School mourns loss of super fan

(From Carthage R-9 School District)

Tiger Nation is deeply saddened by the passing of our "Number One Super Fan", Terry "Stump" Prine.

Whether on the sidelines or in the stands, Stump was a constant presence, always cheering on our Carthage Tigers with relentless support and passion.

His love for CHS athletics and our community was undeniable, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of sharing in his Tiger spirit.

I played baseball for Carthage 31 years ago and helped coach summer baseball. Stump was a great guy that never had a bad word to say about anyone. If he wasn’t at sporting event more than likely you could find him at Walmart. He could still tell me about parts of my high school playing day’s. Carthage lost a very good man and fan. He will be missed by his family and the thousands of friends he had made during his many of years supporting the Carthage Tigers. Rest easy buddy.
