Whether it actually takes place or not remains to be seen, but Rep. Ben Baker, R-Neosho, who was recently elected to his final two-year term in the Missouri House of Representatives filed paperwork earlier this month with the Missouri Ethics Commission indicating he will seek statewide office in 2028.
The declaration allows Baker, who has $82,642.49 in his campaign account, to continue raising funds. In his most recent filing, Baker reported $2,000 in contributions, with $1,000 apiece coming from Lance and Sharon Beshore of Joplin.
In his 30-day-after-election filing, Baker reported raising $11,250 and spending $6,217.76.
Those contributing at least $1,000 to Baker, according to the report were the following:
Missouri Gaming PAC $1,000
Charter Communications PAC $2,000
Rightpath PAC $1,000
Missouri Dental PAC $1,000
Missouri DSV PAC $1,000
Chris Wade, owner of CEI, Neosho $2,000
Chris Fleming, business owner, Neosho $2,000
