The McDonald County Prosecuting Attorney's office charged a Noel man with second-degree assault following an incident that appears to have led to his firing, according to the probable cause statement.
An arrest warrant was issued for Abu Bashi (DOB 1997) with bond set at $1,500 cash only.
From the probable cause statement:
On Monday 02/10/2026 during a team member meeting Abu was being disrespectful and was taken to the Human Resource office.While in the office Abu became outraged, cussed at an HR Manager and {threw} a computer monitor striking her in the arm.
Abu was escorted outside the plant where he then {threw} a bottle of juice at {another person}.
Since Abu was fired from Simmons Foods he shows no visible signs of support and may flee to his previous home in Minnesota.
The case was investigated by the Southwest City Police Department.

528, I know reading comprehension is tough for people on the left who insert white supremacy into everything they don't understand, but 1213's logic is actually quite simple, and one that true white nationalists wouldn't fully agree with.
If you were born in this country, you are considered an American. If you want to add an additional descriptor it should be black, not African.
For one thing, not all black Americans descend from Africa, there are many other countries that black people have immigrated from. It's like calling all brown people of hispanic descent Mexican Americans. A lot of Hispanics take offense to being called Mexican when they're really Guatemalan, or vice versa.

I personally would only call someone African American if they were born in Africa and became an official citizen of the US. Same with an Irish person, Chinese, etc. But like 1213 said you wouldn't call someone that's been here for generations an German/Irish/English American.
It really is dumb to use African American as a blanket term for every dark skinned person in the United States.
6:00 if you're implying they wouldn't take kindly to it you are probably correct, after decades of being told that African American is the correct terminology. But that all comes from bored PC people that want to control speech over the years. Can't say black anymore, gotta call them colored people, can't say colored people anymore gotta call them people of color. Same stupidity that brought us the term houseless instead of homeless, person of size instead of fat, etc.
