(From the Lamar Fire Department)It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that the Lamar Fire Department announces the passing of Fire Fighter Jeremiah Buchanan.
Fire Fighter Buchanan passed away as a result of an off-duty event.
Fire Fighter Buchanan began his time with the Lamar Fire Department in October of 2024 and has served as a station attendant and Fire Fighter.
The Lamar Fire Department, along with the rest of the city staff and Board of Aldermen, would like to extend their sincere condolences to Fire Fighter Buchanan’s family, along with sharing their appreciation for this time and service to the community.
