(From the Chris Wright Campaign)In response to soaring fuel prices fueled by international conflict, Chris Wright, Republican Candidate for State Representative District 160, urges Governor Kehoe to temporarily suspend the state’s gasoline tax, aiming to provide immediate financial relief to families and businesses across Missouri.
“Our residents are already being gouged to death by their utility rates and now are facing unprecedented pressure at the pump following the outbreak of conflict in Iran,” said Wright.
“This temporary suspension is a direct measure to leave more money in the pockets of hardworking families, lower shipping costs for businesses, and ensure that our residents can continue to travel for work and essential needs.”
Other states, including Georgia and Indiana, have already implemented similarmsuspensions to help ease the burden on motorists. The intention of the recommended suspension is to combat the immediate, sharp spike in energy costs that has occurred over the past several weeks.

While the state cannot control international oil markets, this action is a proactive step to alleviate the pain caused by higher costs at the gas station.

Chris is a stand up guy, level headed, and the best candidate for the 160th.
