After two slow weeks in the $5,000+ contribution race, Michael Gibbons, Republican candidate for attorney general, is hitting his stride.

A 48-hour report filed Thursday with the Missouri Ethics Commission, shows Gibbons received $95,000 in oversized contributions Tuesday, including $25,000 from Missourians for Tax Reform statewide PAC, one of those formed by billionaire educational voucher supporter Rex Sinquefield.

Other contributions included:

$5,000 from Express Scripts, Inc., St. Louis; $25,000 from Doug Albrecht, Bodley Group, St. Louis; $5,000 from Ameren UE Pac, Jefferson City; $10,000 from Drury Development Corporation, St. Louis; $5,000 from Major Brands PAC, St. Louis, $10,000 from Thompson Coburn, St. Louis; $5,000 from Anheuser-Busch, St. Louis; $5,000 from American Boiler and Mechanical, St. Louis

Gibbons' Democratic opponent, Chris Koster, reported one $5,000+ plus contribution Thursday, $7,500 from Armstrong Teasdale, Kansas City.

Since campaign contribution limits were repealed Aug. 28, Koster has received $916,000 in oversized contributions, while Gibbons has pulled in $392,650.
