Southern grabs awards at annual MCMA convention

Missouri Southern State University journalists earned 13 awards at the annual Missouri College Media Association convention over the weekend in St. Joseph.

The locals captured first place awards in entertainment review, feature photography, page one design, and photo page, second place in news photography, story illustration, sports page, and sports column, third place in feature photography, and honorable mentions in regular column, news photography, sports photography, and special section.
