Joplindaily.com goes live

The traffic to The Turner Report is going to go down quickly since people who are looking for Joplindaily.com can actually go that site as of sometime today.
The site looks interesting and appears to be covering quite a few stories of a positive nature that rarely see the light of the day in the Joplin Globe. I eagerly anticipate the Sunday edition.
Great job by John Hacker, pictured, Kaylea Hutson, Michelle Pippin, and the rest of those involved with the launching of Joplin's newest news product.
Again, I will offer a bit of unwanted advice to the Globe: the best way of combating a new competitor is not launching a knockoff weekly of your own (and telling people your daily edition doesn't have enough room for Joplin news). The best way to fight the Joplin Daily is to improve the quality of your flagship newspaper.

Not a suscriber to the Globe, but I do read it on-line. Now I thought the Joplin Daily web site was disorganized. The information was relevant for what purpose it serves. Maybe the web site will improve as time goes on...

Seems like an amateurish effort with writing that seems like high school kids said, "Let's put out a paper" and no effort was made to cover NEWS!

Both the Globe and the Daily's Web sites are lacking. The Globe has had almost 15 years to figure it out and still doesn't have an attractive, easy-to-use site. I'll give the Daily time to improve. The print edition is attractive and the content is excellent.

Randy... please don't ever, ever, ever post a photo of John Hacker again. Thank you.

The main thing I hate about the Globe website...is trying to search their archives. It is completely worthless and I have never been able to pull up anything of value from their archive search.

I couldn't disagree more about "amateurish" content of the Joplin Daily. I thought the stories were interesting, and the writing was excellent. It will be a nice option for us Joplin readers. I thought the news was just fine, and the look of the newspaper was far easier to read than the Globe.
Good start Daily.com

The joplindaily site is gibberish, text and art in disarray, when viewed with anything other than Internet Exploder. Is Microsoft one of their "local" advertisers?

Also, Hacker needs to learn that frogs are amphibians, not reptiles. See cutline, Page 1.
