"Keep taxes low, all Americans' taxes," John McCain opened in his response to the first question of tonight's debate.
McCain said someone needs to be named Secretary of the Treasury who is trusted by Americans. Meg Whitman was mentioned by McCain, as was Obama adviser Warren Buffett.
"The problem in America today is that we don't have trust and confidence in our institutions," due to corruption, McCain said.
In his rebuttal time, Obama is bringing the question back to working Americans and promoting his tax cut for lower and middle income Americans.
