A 48-hour report filed today with the Missouri Ethics Commission, shows another $153,375 in cash has been injected into Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jay Nixon's campaign, with about two-thirds of that total coming from union sources.
Nixon received $50,000 from the Missouri State United Auto Workers PAC and $55,875 from six Teamsters chapters, with four contributing $9,375, a fifth giving $8,375, and the sixth $10,000.
Other contributions came from:
Shaffer Lombardo Shurin, Kansas City, $28,550; Lisa Wendt, San Francisco, Calif., $10,000; Kirby McInerney LLP, New York, $9,000
Since contribution limits were repealed Aug. 28, Nixon has picked up $3,453,025.
Nixon's opponent, Congressman Kenny Hulshof, who has not filed any 48-hour reports today, has received $2,775,990.
