New Missouri Southern State University Athletic Director Jared Bruggeman was introduced to the Board of Governors moments ago.
"We're happy to be coming here," Bruggeman said.
Board Chairman Dwight Douglas told Bruggeman, "We're looking forward to great things." Douglas noted the success of the university's athletic programs and how some of them have been turned around. He failed to mention the recent decisions to axe the men's soccer and women's tennis programs.
Bruggeman, 38, was associated director of athletics at Northern Arizona University.
As noted in an earlier Turner Report post, though no one has questioned the abilities or talents of Bruggeman, there are many around the campus who are upset that current assistant athletic director and men's baskeball coach Bobby Corn was not given an opportunity to at least interview for the position.

Did anyone see the press conference today where Bruggeman was asked about his plans to raise funds and he really struggled answering it?
