As someone who began listening to St. Louis Cardinals' games on radio in 1962 and has continued listening to the exploits of every Cardinal great from Stan "The Man" Musial to Albert Pujols, I greatly appreciated the article in today's St. Louis Post-Dispatch, which offers overviews of all of the great St. Louis baseball broadcasters.
While I appreciate being able to watch nearly all of the Cardinals' games on television, baseball is still at it best a radio sport, so I (and I am sure many other fans) often turn the sound down on the television and listen to Mike Shannon and John Rooney do the games.
