An 8:30 a.m. Thursday hearing has been scheduled before Judge Richard Copeland in Jasper County Circuit Court for Eddie Salazar Sr., who is charged with making a false statement to police concerning an alleged kidnapping of his eight-month-old son Eddie Salazar Jr. The infant's body was found Saturday in Spring River.
Autopsy reports on the child have been delayed. The police consider Salazar Sr. to be a prime suspect in the child's death, according to published reports.
