FBI, sheriff visit blogger who was critical of Billy Long

One of the developments I most deplored during the most recent election cycle was the creation of blogs designed specifically to attack political candidates. Though it was obviously an idea whose time had come, it is an idea that is somewhat unsettling to me.

Two of those blogs, Defeat Nodler and Long is Wrong played key roles in the Seventh District Congressional race. And now the blogger responsible for Long is Wrong, Clayton Bowler, has been questioned by the FBI which received Bowler's name from Billy Long as a possible threat.

In the wake of last Saturday's murder of six people and shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in Tucson, FBI agents have been following up on people designated by congressmen as being potential threats.
From all appearances, either Long has no one who can seriously be considered a threat or he is using a horrific national event as an excuse to target someone who has been a constant thorn in his side.

How ironic is it that someone who prides himself in carrying around a copy of the U. S. Constitution fails to grasp the meaning of the First Amendment?

"U. S. Constitution fails to grasp the meaning of the First Amendment?"

You can't say it any better than that.

Billy likes his constitution like he likes his horses and women.
