Newsmakers TV program to focus on demolition phase of Joplin Tornado recovery

An upcoming edition of the Newsmakers interview program focuses on the demolition phase of recovery in Joplin, following the May tornado. The program features Joplin Finance Director Leslie Jones and FEMA Voluntary Agency Liaison Jono Anzalone. They discuss the current steps being taken to remove structural remains and foundations from damaged properties.

Newsmakers will air a number of times on KGCS-TV in the next two weeks. Those airtimes include: 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, and Tuesday, Sept 20; 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21; 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25; and 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27.

The program will also air at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 on KOAM-TV.
