Lindenwood president to Sinquefield: You have money, Rex; you can do no wrong

The furor over Rex Sinquefield's remarks linking the KKK and public education continues today, four days after his speech at Lindenwood University.

St. Louis Beacon reports that Lindenwood President James D. Evans criticized the author of the 2007 newspaper column that Sinquefield took out of context, but offered no criticism of the billionaire who has been a benefactor to the university:

A participant in Lindenwood's Speaker Series recently cited Ralph Voss, a Missouri journalist who made a disparaging allegation about Missouri's K-12 public education system. Although the University vigorously defends academic freedom and our speakers' first-amendment rights, we categorically repudiate Voss's derogatory statements and proudly stand with Missouri's dedicated and effective K-12 educators, many of whom we have graduated.

In other words. you have money, Rex. You can do no wrong.
