MODOT winter travel advisory for Monday night into Tuesday morning

(From MODOT)

MoDOT/Southwest: Winter Travel Advisory
Monday Night into Tuesday Morning, Jan. 6-7

Sub-zero temperatures expected again Monday night. Warmer temperatures and sunny skies forecasted for Tuesday will aid in snow-clearing efforts. Drivers urged to continue to use caution and allow extra travel time especially during Tuesday morning rush hour.
Weather Forecast: Sub-zero temperatures are again forecasted for Monday night into Tuesday.  However, high temperatures are forecasted to rise into the upper 20s and lower 30s on Tuesday along with sunshine.
Road Clearing: Extreme cold temperatures on Monday and Monday night hampered crews' efforts to get all major roads back to clear condition.
On Tuesday, MoDOT crews will first focus on clearing the most heavily traveled roads.
Once major roads are cleared, crews will move to lesser-traveled roads and plow to remove as much snow and ice as possible.  They will spread abrasives on hills, curves and intersections to help with traction.
Travel Conditions: All state routes are passable.  However, drivers are urged to use caution and allow extra travel time until roads are clear.
