WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON... A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LIGHT SNOW AND LIGHT FREEZING DRIZZLE REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON. * SHORT TERM TRENDS...AREAS OF FREEZING DRIZZLE WITH EMBEDDED POCKETS OF LIGHT SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE MISSOURI OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS THROUGH THE MORNING INTO THE EARLY AFTERNOON. WHILE PRECIPITATION WILL BE ON THE VERY LIGHT SIDE...A LIGHT GLAZING OF ICE OR DUSTING OF SNOW MAY CAUSE SOME TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES ACROSS THE AREA. * TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...ALL OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS INTO EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. * SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF A DUSTING TO AROUND AN INCH OF SNOW IS EXPECTED. THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS WILL GENERALLY BE ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI. * ICE ACCUMULATIONS...LESS THAN A TENTH OF AN INCH OF ICE IS EXPECTED ON EXPOSED SURFACES. * IMPACTS...THE COMBINATION OF FREEZING DRIZZLE AND LIGHT SNOW WILL CREATE DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS INTO EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. THE MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION IS REPORTING SNOW AND ICE COVERED ROADWAYS...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW AND FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES.
