The number of guests in the Council Chambers is limited to 45 due to social distancing.

Persons wishing to address the City Council regarding an item on the agenda should complete a Request to Address Council and give it to the City Clerk prior to the start of the meeting.  When your name is called, approach the podium, and state your name clearly for the record.  If your request pertains to a Public Hearing item, you do not need to submit a request. You will have five (5) minutes to speak.

A RESOLUTION authorizing the offering for sale of Sewerage System Refunding Revenue Bonds for the benefit of the City of Joplin, Missouri.

A RESOLUTION authorizing the filing of a One Year Action Plan with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as required for use of the City of Joplin’s Community Development Block Grant Program (Entitlement) and the Joplin Consortium HOME Investment Partnership Program for fiscal year 2021; and authorizing the City Manager to execute said Plan for and on behalf of the City of Joplin.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2021-110

AN ORDINANCE approving an agreement with Allied Services, LLC hereinafter referred to as “Republic Services” to provide curbside trash and recycling pick-up for single-family and duplex residential living units and authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin with an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2021-122

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the acceptance of an agreement by and between the City of Joplin and the Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP), for Phase 3 of Reconstruction to Runway 18-36 at the Joplin Regional Airport; and containing an emergency clause.

AN ORDINANCE authorizing a supplemental agreement by and between the City of Joplin and Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., for Construction Observation Services to Reconstruct Runway 18-36 at the Joplin Regional Airport; and containing an emergency clause.

AN ORDINANCE declaring the necessity of acquiring for public use certain fee simple right of way and temporary construction easements for the purpose of street construction improvements associated with the proposed 32nd Street widening project between Schifferdecker Avenue and Central City Road; authorizing the City Manager and his designees to negotiate for the purpose of acquiring the necessary interests in land; authorizing the City Attorney and his designees to institute condemnation proceedings if such interests in land cannot be acquired by purchase through good faith negotiations; and containing an emergency clause.

AN ORDINANCE authorizing an agreement by and between the City of Joplin and SkyWest Airlines, Inc., to establish operational guidelines and fees in the Commercial Terminal at the Joplin Regional Airport; authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2021-125

AN ORDINANCE approving Work Authorization OLS-OC21-04 with Olsson in the not to exceed amount of Five Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand Five Hundred and 00/100 dollars ($599,500.00) for professional engineering consulting services for Phases 2 and 3 of the Zora Widening project from Rangeline to MO-249, and authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2021-512

AN ORDINANCE repealing Section 86-152, Admission Fee, of Article V, Swimming Pools, of Chapter 86, Parks and Recreation, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Joplin and enacting in lieu thereof a new Section 86-152, Admission Fee, of Article V, Swimming Pools, of Chapter 86, Parks and Recreation, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Joplin to implement certain fee changes; and setting a date when this Ordinance shall become effective.
