Anderson man charged with two counts of assault after shooting man with AR-15, firing at woman

The McDonald County Prosecuting Attorney's office filed two counts of assault, two counts of armed criminal action and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child against an Anderson man following an incident Wednesday at a rural Anderson home.

According to the probable cause statement, Ryan Lee Stabeno (DOB 1979) opened fire on a man with an AR-15 following a dispute over the repair of a vehicle. The victim was eventually taken to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, with injuries to his forearm.

When a woman called out from the house for him to stop shooting, Stabeno turned the weapon at her and shot, hitting the door frame and missing the woman by inches, the probable cause statement said.

The woman went into the house seeking to protect her three children as Stabeno opened fire once more.

He doesn’t deserve any type of parole what so ever. Who are you to think he does? If it was you, your wife, and three children would you think he deserves it? Don’t think so.

Our Society is not a Civil Place to Live! We need to Stop being Soft on Crime and Criminals, Stop the Slaps on the Wrist and Prosecution Deals.

1215 is obviously exceedingly wise. Who else could demonstrate such deep insight and excessive understanding on this issue? Thanks 1215! You're truly a social issue savant. I, for one, am forever changed.

6:45 PM, is obviously a Dumb Ass. Who else could demonstrate such a low level of insight and ridiculous thought process, must be some wacko, liberal, demo - who has been warned multiple times about commenting on the articles not the commentors. Be leery of the buttons you push and the people you step on. Karma certainly hits back. There is a consequence to each of your thoughts words actions. Some people do not believe in it just because the result is not immediate. Start practicing, kindness and compassion or it will catch up to you.

Ryan’s a weirdo… who needs to stay in prison. He’s never been held accountable and not one single neighbor wants him around. He can use the vehicle repair excuse that wasn’t the underlying issue. Ryan feels entitled and thinks he is #1 priority over everything.. he will message someone 10 times in 1 hour and when you don’t respond fast enough he thinks you’re against him.. or trying to “burn him” I hope he rots in prison.
