Redings Mill, Lockwood fire protection districts mourn loss of 22-year-old firefighter

Area firefighters are mourning the loss of one of their own today as Tucker Berry, 22, Lockwood, died from injuries suffered in a golf cart accident in Carl Junction Saturday.

Berry served with the Lockwood and Redings Mill fire protection districts.

As news of his death spread, area fire departments and emergency agencies expressed their thoughts on his loss on their Facebook pages.

Our hearts and prayers go out to our brother Tucker Berry and his family. Tucker wasn’t only a part of Lockwood Fire, but also Redings Mill Fire Protection District and multiple local volunteering organizations. 

Not enough can be said on how truly amazing this young man was to so many in the community.

Monett Rural Fire District

At Monett Rural Fire District, we are deeply saddened by the loss of Tucker Berry, a respected local firefighter and brother, whose perpetual smile and joyful spirit left an indelible mark. 

Tucker was an outstanding young man with a passion for the fire service. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones, fellow firefighters, and the departments he served, including Lockwood Fire Protection District and Redings Mill Fire District. Rest in peace, Brother.








Pierce City Fire Protection District

The fire service is unpredictable, and oftentimes, tragedies happen for seemingly no reason. Today, the local fire service lost a good one. 

Please keep the Redings Mill FPD, Lockwood FPD, and the Berry family in your thoughts and prayers. Tucker was passionate about the job and was a joyful servant to all. Rest in peace, Tucker. We'll take it from here.
