(From Seventh District Congressman Eric Burleson)This week, I announced that I will be introducing a bill in the 119th Congress to abolish the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF).
My first month in office, I filed legislation to repeal the National Firearms Act (NFA) and co-sponsored my good friend Matt Gaetz’ bill to abolish the ATF.
While I am disappointed that Matt Gaetz will no longer be serving with me in the House, I know his future is bright. I am happy to step up and carry the legacy of this bill on to the new Congress.

Ok, there really are gun crimes, and who do they think will handle them?
Local prosecutors are extremely lenient on gun crime.
Felons in possession of weapons are an automatic prison term in Federal Court. Not so in states.
I hope his bill is squashed.
Disband the ATF im all in for this.
Hey Missouri, you all should be so proud of your congressman burlson and his buddy relationship with known pedophile and druggy, mat gates.
If they are like every other govenment agency they have overextended their inteded authority.
