Phillip Jordan Neese, 33, Carthage, will be held without bond while awaiting trial on a federal weapons charge.
During a hearing this morning in U. S. District Court in Springfield, Judge David P. Rush issued the detention order saying Neese was a flight risk.
In a detention motion filed last week, the U. S. attorney's office described the allegations against Neese, who is a convicted felon, detailed his criminal history and said he had waved the gun at several juveniles.
