Joplin man pleads guilty to federal meth, weapons charges


Jock Odell Gray, 43, Joplin, pleaded guilty this morning in U. S. District Court in Springfield to possession of methamphetamine and using a gun in furtherance of drug trafficking. Three other charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

Judge David P. Rush ordered a presentence investigation. No date has been scheduled for sentencing.

Gray was initially arrested by the Joplin Police Department October 15, 2024, accounting for half of the charges. A second arrest took place November 18, according to the indictment.
