Cameras will be allowed in the courtroom for the second murder trial of Gary Black, scheduled to begin Tuesday, March 21, in Jasper County Circuit Court.
The camera request was approved Thursday by Judge Jon Dermott. Black received a second trial after the Missouri Supreme Court tossed out his conviction for the 1998 racially-motivated murder of Jason Johnson, a Missouri Southern student.
The trial is expected to last two weeks.
