Palin sounding completely rehearsed

Nothing is sadder than a candidate rehearsing to sound spontaneous and that is exactly what we are seeing from Sarah Palin in the vice presidential debate. From her cloying references to "Joe Sixpack" and "hockey mamas," references I am sure were planned from the start, to her attacks on Barack Obama, Mrs. Palin sounds more scripted than well prepared.

Some of these scripted answers are forthcoming even when they are not remotely connected with the moderator's questions.

Of course, that should not be surprising, since Mrs. Palin has already said she will ignore the moderator when necessary and "speak to the American people."

Another line she seems determined to hit over and over again is "the greed and corruption on Wall Street."

Of course, as Joe Biden noted, it has been John McCain who has been a staunch champion of the kind of deregulation that has brought about the current economic crisis.

Joe Biden is costing Barack swing state votes.

He said that they want to double foreign aid and, just now, suggested that they would support gay marriage. Now he contradicts himself. I thought he said they would treat all Americans equally. Huh?

You need to watch this and then do a little research:

You must have been listening to a different debate. Biden said he and Obama support civil unions, but not gay marriage. Palin then said she agreed with Biden. Facts are stubborn things.
