It's official. Talent, Kinder back Blunt for Senate

The royalty of the Missouri Republican Party continues to circle around Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt as he attempts to move into the U. S. Senate.

As noted in several media sources, including The Turner Report, Friday, former Sen. Jim Talent and Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder have thrown their support behind Blunt. The official announcement was made today during a campaign event in St. Louis:

Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder says Blunt would stop what he calls the "spending and debt binge" happening in Washington today, "We do not want to grow the federal government into the gigantic behemoth they plan to do in Washington DC. We need to put the brakes on. And we need to restore power to Missourians." Former U.S. Senator Jim Talent says Roy Blunt would bring a sense of fiscal prudence to the Senate, "It's having priorities when your spend. It doesn't mean you don't spend money on things. You just don't try and spend money on everything at the same time."

How funny! Blunt hasn't shown any fiscal restraint in the House as part of the Bush spending spree. How is his being in the Senate going to change anything. We need new fresh leadership in Washington. People who actually know what it is like to work for a living or run a business.

I think Blunt can kiss any chances of getting the senate job good bye! He has become one of the Washington elite and is to concerned with taking care of himself rather then the people who sent him there to take care of business, He is out of touch and out of his mind!
