The Springdale Civil Service Commission will meet at 9:30 a.m. today to discuss the just-completed interviews of 11 finalists for police chief, according to the Springdale Morning News. One of those finalists is Joplin Police Chief Kevin Lindsey.
Commission Chairman Steve Harp told the newspaper, "This is a good crop. We had some impressive interviews."
Lindsey has survived two cuts thus far. Initially, the city had 64 applicants. The list was trimmed to 24, then to the 11 who were interviewed.
Harp said a decision could be made as early next week, or some of the candidates may be called back for another interview.

I haven't seen anything on this on your site yet, but Kevin Lindsey didn't get the Springdale Chief job. Capt. Kathy O'Kelley with UAPD was named Chief on Tuesday. She's the first female chief in NWA history.
