MSSU Board extends Speck's contract

The MSSU Board of Governors extended President Dr. Bruce Speck’s contract through June 2011 following a closed session evaluation.

Speck, of course, was hired to attract funds to the college, and it appears that move has been a huge success. He has not attracted any that I know of, but the college has had to add another official to raise money and made fundraising a chief qualification of the new athletic director.

With the extension, Speck will be here until at least a few months before the new medical school opens.
