Globe hits it right with Michael Jackson coverage

After wallowing in the orgy of Michael Jackson coverage the day after the entertainer died, the Joplin Globe has shown remarkable restraint the last couple of days.

Jackson did not even make page one in the Tuesday edition, and today's page one rightly contains a Jackson story, but it is stripped across the bottom of the page. The print edition leads with four local stories and a large color photo at the top.

I think Natural Disaster should perform "Thriller" at their next gig in tribute to The Gloved One. You could start out with "Purple People Eater" which everyone loves, transition into "Monster Mash" and then end big with "Thriller." Randy, I can hook you up with a makeup artist if you want to go Full Zombie.
