THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS EXTENDED THE
* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
SOUTHEASTERN BARRY COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...
SOUTHERN STONE COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...
SOUTHWESTERN TANEY COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...
* UNTIL 1000 AM CDT WEDNESDAY.
* AT 745 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS CONTINUED
TO MONITORING RELEASES FROM BEAVER LAKE AND TABLE ROCK DAM DUE TO
HEAVY RAINFALL THAT OCCURRED OVER THE PAST SEVERAL DAYS IN THE
HEADWATERS OF THE WHITE RIVER BASIN. THE ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS
IS RELEASING WATER FROM BEAVER LAKE AND TABLE ROCK LAKE AT A RATE
OF APPROXIMATELY 53000 CUBIC FEET PER SECOND...WHICH WILL LEAD TO
ELEVATED WATER LEVELS ALONG THE LAKE SHORE OF TABLE
ROCK...TANEYCOMO...AND BULL SHOALS...AND ALONG THE WHITE RIVER
BETWEEN THE LAKES.
* IN ADDITION TO THE RELEASES FROM THE LAKES...ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
IS EXPECTED TONIGHT AS THUNDERSTORMS MOVE OVER THE AREA. THESE
STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING BETWEEN ONE AND TWO INCHES OF
RAINFALL OVER THE REGION. THIS WILL BE ON TOP OF ALREADY SATURATED
GROUND AND CREEKS...STREAMS AND AREA LAKES THAT ALREADY HAVE SEEN
SIGNIFICANT RISES. THIS WILL PRODUCE THE POTENTIAL FOR
ADDITIONAL FLASH FLOODING TO OCCURRING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS IN
ADDITION TO CONTINUED RISES ALONG LAKE TANEYCOMO FROM WATER
RELEASES.
