Ladue teacher asks for expedited hearing on request for injunction against Facebook Law

In a motion filed Thursday in U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Ladue seventh grade communication arts teacher Christina Thomas asked the judge for an expedited hearing for her request for an injunction to block implementation of Jane Cunningham's Facebook Law.

Ms. Thomas, backed by the American Civil Liberties Union, filed suit earlier this week, noting that the law prevents her from communicating with her own child.

The motion notes that the statute "and the chillling effect it will have on speech is effective August 28 (Sunday)."
