The salaries for Joplin R-8 Central Administration shows 34 people who made $50,000 or more during the 2012-2013 school year led by Superintendent C. J. Huff’s $175,000. The 10th highest salary at 32nd and Duquesne belonged to technology employee Ronny Justin Myers who was paid $67,069 for duties that included monitoring high school students’ laptops and resulted in pornographic photos of 10 Joplin students winding up on his laptop.
Myers pleaded guilty earlier this year to child pornography charges and is awaiting sentencing.

That's the last straw.
I QUIT THIS DISTRICT!!! YOU'VE DONE NOTHING TO GAIN MY TRUST OR LOYALTY!!!
Where is Tina Smith's salary? Surely she soaks the public for the dirty deeds she does for CJ and Angie. Not paid by tax dollars? Hmm.
And how about Kim Vann and the rest of the staff of Bright Futures? Since Bright Futures receives over 700 grand a year from the district budget, shouldn't their salaries be published?
Lots of missing info here.
I hate r8.
The copy machine guy makes more than I do! Really makes me want to grade those papers on my own time, for sure.
There's a very contagious virus headed to Joplin. It's called blue flu.
Every day the Board lets this mess continue is a stab in the back to the taxpayers. Never ask for another dime.
Don't most teachers work on a 180 day contract? I'm also going to assume that the central office staff works year round. So comparing teacher pay to admin pay is like comparing apples to oranges.
