A detention hearing for Jedediah Stout, 29, Joplin, the man who confessed to authorities that he set fire to the Planned Parenthood building in Joplin and the Islamic Society Mosque has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at U. S. District Court in Springfield.
Stout is being represented by a public defender, according to court records.
At Stout's initial hearing this morning, the U. S. Attorney filed a motion asking for the detention hearing saying that Stout had confessed to the Planned Parenthood and Islamic Society mosque fires and that there was no guarantee that he would attend a hearing.
