More photos from Joplin High School Dedication Ceremony
The only vast sea of humanity was a captive audience of bored students who paid little attention to the speeches and the prayer, which was great for the Christians, but still illegal in a public school setting with a captive audience. But hey, it's R8, where laws and rules are broken every day. Most of the kids spent their tedious time making out and horsing around. There's millions of dollars well spent by the community, for sure. I have little hope that things will get better under the current board and admin. Obviously, the student body is disengaged from everything but each other. I wish I hadn't gone. Now I'm more discouraged than ever.
There were very few people on that stage who are worth their weight in ribbon, so to speak. I'll refrain from praising those who are valuable for fear they'll face repercussions from Kim Jong Huff and his fearless Board and his minion directors.
Hardly a political atmosphere when Democrats are invited to a photo op by a man who claims to be a hard core Right-winger, complete with pitchfork and lantern (the purported replacements for white sheets and burning crosses). Just a photo op that CJ can use for his speaking tours and will hopefully help him find another job. Exploiting the tornado and its victims again? Why stop? It's made him a fortune thus far.
Again; does he not see the disconnect between hard core right-winger and public education. True hard core conservatives want nothing more than the total destruction of the welfare-state, publicly funded education system. Either he is their dupe, or he is systematically creating a flawed district, ripe for elimimation. What then BOE? What happens to the fleas when the dog dies?
Perhaps you feel as though you are awakening from a bad dream. As one of two educators on the board, you might feel like you lost your true self along the way. What you did in he past might be hauntung you now; but, do not give up. Dr. Fort needs your help. The district needs you to reclaim the great teacher that remains inside of you. I will never forget your passion for science, and your compassion for all of us kids. You loved coaching. You loved education. They fooled you once. Shame on them. Please, do not bow out and let them fool you twice....
Using the new R8 math: if 161 means 161,000, then there must have been a quarter of a million people in attendance. A mere fraction of CJ's adoring fans.
Either you read this blog, or you have monitors that do. Commentors are not a small disenfranchised fringe group. We know each other. We talk to each other. We continually discover more of us: many of whom live in constant terror of losing their livelihoods. Almost all of us abhor negativity. Yet that is what you inspire. Where were all of us "haters" under previous administrations. You tell yourself that we berate you out of jealousy and obstructionism. No. We care about this comminity and its children; in a way that you will never understand. When you finally do leave or get caught, then Joplin will join together in a collective and genuine cry... MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
Amen 10:35!!! You put into words what we have all been trying to say!! We want our happy town and well educated children back!! Huff you've done enough damage, pack up and GO!! And PLEASE take your trick monkey Landis and head clown Johnson with you!!!

Seeing Annie made me puke a little
Any pictures of the vast sea of humanity that came to witness this partially complete momentus occasion?
Does anyone else think Joe Biden looks like Phil Hartman?? Politics are just about as shaky as a SNL skit.

There is a special place in Hell for CJ Huff. They are building a new, tenth circle, just to house this vermin.
