On October 15, 2014 at approximately 10:05 PM, the Joplin Police Department received a call for a two-month-old child that had been brought into Freeman West Emergency Room. The infant had sustained serious physical injuries consistent with physical abuse.
The mother of the child along with the boyfriend transported the child to Freeman West. The victim was later transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO and is currently listed in stable condition.
It was later determined that the infant sustained the injuries at 1318 S. Pearl in Joplin. It was determined that while Thaddeus Garrison was caring for the infant, he bit the child on his legs and the trauma was severe enough to break the skin of the child.
At some point while the child was in the sole custody and care of Mr. Garrison, the child received an injury sufficient to cause the cessation of breathing. Mr. Garrison did not seek medical treatment for the child until the mother of the child returned home.
Thaddeus M. Garrison, a 19 year old male from Joplin who is the boyfriend of the infant child’s mother, has been arrested for 1st Degree Child Abuse and is currently in the Joplin City Jail. This investigation is still on-going.

this weirdo needs put in jail for a long time...how many times here in Joplin have read where a mother of the child has left them with their sicko boyfriends to watch after them and then we read about the abuse and even had them kill a few innocent children here in Joplin the last couple of years seems to be happening a lot
he lived with me for a couple months and i repeatedly saw him harming his two children that he already has he would always pop their necks and smack them around it made me so sick to watch.
Um I know you did it Anonymously but who are you when did he live with you and you see him hurt his kids???
