The number of COVID-19 cases in Newton County continued to grow rapidly Monday as 29 cases were added, bringing the total to 492, according to a Newton County Health Department news release.
Of that total 398 remain under isolation, with four hospitalized. The county reported its third coronavirus-related death Monday.
Of the 437 people who have been placed under quarantine, 262 have been released, while 175 continue to be followed.
Most of the county's cases continue to be in Neosho, according to the news release.
