Ten new COVID-19 cases reported in Newton County

Ten new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Newton County, bringing the total to 724, according to statistics posted on the Newton County Health Department's Facebook page Friday evening.

The number of cases under isolation increased slightly from 377 to 379, while the number of people hospitalized increased from three to four.

The county has had four coronavirus-related deaths.

The statistics do not include the portion of Newton County located within the Joplin city limits.
