A RESOLUTION authorizing the submittal of an application with the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office for the FY 2024 Historic Preservation Fund Grant for the Intensive Level Architectural Survey of North Heights Phase I.

A RESOLUTION recognizing Officer Jake Reed of the Joplin Police Department for his years of service by naming the bridge on 1200 East 20th street crossing over the Kansas City Southern Railroad the “Officer Jake Reed Memorial Bridge.”

A RESOLUTION recognizing Corporal Benjamin Cooper of the Joplin Police Department for his years of service by naming the bridge on Loop 44/Range Line Road crossing over the Kansas City Southern Railroad in the City of Joplin in Jasper County as the “CPL Ben Cooper Memorial Bridge.”

A RESOLUTION recognizing Officer Timothy Nielson of the Joplin Police Department for his years of service by naming the bridge on Connecticut Avenue that crosses over Interstate 44 within the city of Joplin as the “Officer Timothy Nielson Memorial Bridge.”

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2023-133

AN ORDINANCE approving an amendment (Change Order 1) to the construction agreement with Blevins Asphalt Construction Company Inc. in the amount of Two Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-One and 80/100 Dollars, ($239,951.80) for the Mill and Overlay 2023 project; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; amending the Annual Budget of the City of Joplin for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 as adopted by Ordinance 2022-161 on October 17, 2022; and, containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2023-142

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the City of Joplin, Missouri, to enter into an Agreement with Missouri-American Water Company, a Missouri Corporation, for the purpose of leasing certain land in the area commonly known as Grand Falls; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; and containing an emergency clause.
