Joplin Globe names Robin Phelan publisher

(Once in a while I come across something I have mentioned in the daily Turner Report Newsletter but forgot to put on the blog. This is one of those cases.)

Farm Talk Publisher Robin Phelan was named Joplin Globe publisher in July. He will be in charge of both publications.

Phelan's background is in advertising. He has been at Farm Talk since 2020.

Globe owner CNHI Publishing, fired Phelan's predecessor, Dale Brendel, in March after he failed to meet revenue expectations

Before coming to the Globe, Brendel, while serving as executive editor of the Leavenworth Times, GateHouse Media put Brendel in charge of regional content for 17 newspapers, including the Carthage Press, Neosho Daily News and Pittsburg Morning Sun.

Not sure how this helps.
What is the turnaround plan for the Globe?
1. the path to profits has not been described.
2. the editorial board steers the paper solidly to the left.
3. if it helps the Dems it is on the front page.
4. if it helps the GOP or Pres. Trump it is never covered and the front page is 'Girls Volleyball! Kittens at the Mall!'
72% of the area voted for Trump, the number of pro Trump sentences in the Globe in the last 7 years = 0.
5. are the leaders at the Globe looking at all this with any seriousness?

Thank you globe for leaning left, (if thats what you call it). Seems the only sanity, true citizenship, and progressive ideas come from the left anymore. If I want more information on the happenings of white nationalism, misogyny, racism, war on culture, and republican desires of electing (falsely) an orange authoritarian ogre, I'll go to faux news or another redneck news network that appeals to the bucket of "intellectual geniuses" that Hillary all warned us about. Oh, and how can I be remiss at letting today's news pass without comment: The perfect irony, a strong black woman sending the orange sociopath to jail!....Go Fani! Lock him up!!!
